Writing exercise

I'm gonna do something a little embarrassing, well not really. I'm gonna start writing blogposts in character. Really menial stuff, but I want to develop their voices and experiences and I'm not good enough at writing prose to attempt something real. It's very easy for me to immerse myself in my characters, so writing as them would probably be the best way for me to develop them. However embarrassing it may be. I hope I can find some way for you guys to filter those posts, because this is kinda just something for me. You might then wonder: why are you posting it online? Because it's weird to crowd up my blog post archive with unpublished posts + I'm the main user and visitor of this site and also I'm the only person reading this blog. Haha strawman much.

I honestly don't even know why I'm so embarrassed about it. Wait, yes I do. I'm just scared of writing flat, inoffensive, boring characters. I'm not that scared of people judging me for the contents of these fictional blog posts or judging me for doing a writing exercise, I'm scared of you reading those posts and thinking: this character is really one-dimensional and this -- all of this -- is not compelling at all. Well to that, strawman, I say: "nananana boo boo this is a writing exercise for a reason. Reason being: I need to get better". Wow I sure love using colons. Whatever.

I'm writing this in bold because I need to remind myself of this but jesus fucking christ I need to read more. I genuinely feel myself becoming more and more retarded each day. I hope it's just stress. I NEED to read more. I don't fucking read omfg.
